Original, discreet, pared-back and elegant, the design of “Patisserie des Reves” in Paris was conceived by designer Thierry Teyssier and bears the “flavour signature” of the well-known French pastry chef Philippe Conticini.
In 29 sq m and with a modern feel that is nothing like the traditional European pastry shop, the striking cakes, tarts and baked goods are displayed on a round platform in the middle of the shop, beneath fifteen temperature-controlled glass cloches hanging from the ceiling.

Customers place their orders with the staff, and the pastries arrive straight from the kitchen. The overall feel is somewhat that of a laboratory, and in a magical way it lends the sweet creations an air of glamour, presenting them as “precious goods”.
In the first shop, the dominant shades in the colour palette were pink and grey. A second shop is already open, which keeps the same design philosophy but uses livelier colours.
