In June 2008, Csil carried out a highly interesting study presenting data on the economic activity of lighting companies in Greece, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
It provides statistics on production, imports and exports by country (even broken down by product category, e.g. spotlights, pendants, wall lights, etc.), as well as the market share of each company in the industry across Europe.
Five companies from Greece and 195 from the other European countries took part.
It is the most comprehensive and detailed study that has ever come into our hands (223 pages), and it can certainly be an important tool for lighting companies in every country.
Csil was founded in Milan in 1980 and, as an independent research and consulting centre, carries out studies on the lighting and furniture industries.
