Photovoltaic Plant in Pieria

Installation of the 20kWp grid-connected photovoltaic plant at Rollmann AE.

Photovoltaic Plant in Pieria

Under Measure 6.5, Compa Solar has completed the installation and connection to the PPC grid of the first 20kWp grid-connected photovoltaic plant in Pieria. The plant went into operation in early March, in line with the original implementation schedule.

The plant consists of 108 monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic panels, SW-185Wp mono, with a total capacity of 19.98kWp, mounted on a fixed structure whose tilt angle can be changed according to the season. The 3 Fronius IG60HV grid inverters were installed in a dedicated control room. All lines are protected at the low-voltage panel, and the inverters are connected in parallel to the PPC three-phase grid. The plant is equipped with a datalogger and a sensor box monitoring station, which record all data in detail for further analysis with the IG ACCESS software. The figures are displayed on a large public information screen.

The plant is connected to the company’s central server with remote management, and sends a daily email report on its energy production and status. The installed 20kWp plant, with a budget of approximately €121,000, is the first photovoltaic plant of this capacity in Pieria and the wider area.

According to the recorded data, it is expected to generate more than 26,500kWh a year, with a corresponding reduction of at least 21,000 kg of CO2 in the environment. A total of 100kWp will be installed on the roof and in the yard of the Rollmann facility. Of this, the 20kWp already installed was subsidized under Measure 6.5 of the EPAN, while the remaining 80kWp has been submitted for evaluation under the Development Law. The company holds the necessary generation licence (exemption) and installation permit.

The design and all studies were carried out by Compa Solar. The installation was completed by Compa Solar’s technical department in just 4 days.
