Aimed at architects, landscape architects, engineers, interior decorators, electricians, lighting company executives and students, the Lighting Anatomy training seminar set out to familiarise participants with today’s lighting technologies and with the ways of using them to achieve successful, effective lighting of interior and exterior spaces, both aesthetically and functionally.
Leading names in the field – Mr Frangiskos Topalis (Head of the NTUA Lighting Laboratory), Dr Spyros Kitsinelis (research scientist in energy-efficient light sources), Dr Aris Tsagrasoulis (Building Environment Physicist) and Mr Kostas Kapos (Mechanical Engineer M.Sc./PE, Lighting Consultant) – focused their presentations on topics such as the basic principles of photometry, lighting systems and energy saving, and interior & exterior lighting.
Lighting Anatomy is a noteworthy initiative by Flashlight.gr, the first Greek portal for the lighting industry. “The strong interest and participation of professionals in the field demonstrates the need for systematic training in lighting technologies, and is the springboard for continuing our efforts in this direction,” said Mr Manolis Lianopoulos, editor-in-chief and Marketing Manager of Flashlight.gr.
