This was the second part of the specialist briefing seminar on modern lighting technologies. It focused on learning lighting software based on the new European standard EN 12464-1, on demonstrations of special categories of luminaires and accessories for complete control of the spectrum, and on a series of other lighting topics, such as dynamic lighting and creating the impression of a self-luminous space by artificial means.

The Lighting Anatomy II team of speakers was made up of leading names in the field, including Dr. Aris Tsagrasoulis (Building Environmental Physicist), Dr. Spyros Kitsinelis (Research Scientist in energy-efficient light sources) and Mr. Dimitris Nasikas (Lighting Consultant and Designer).
The “Lighting Anatomy” training seminars began in Athens in September 2008, on the initiative of Flashlight.gr, the first Greek portal for the lighting sector. They are aimed at architects, landscape architects, engineers, interior decorators, electricians, staff of lighting companies, and students.
With the staging of the second Lighting Anatomy seminar, and with a clear intention to continue the effort in the future, “Lighting Anatomy” is emerging as an important institution for the systematic training of lighting professionals.
