LEARNING TO SEE: A Matter of Light

The legendary lighting designer Howard Brandston has written a book entitled LEARNING TO SEE: A Matter of Light, published by the IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America).

Well known among lighting designers, the author draws in this book on more than 50 years of experience in architectural lighting design, spanning more than 2,500 commercial, institutional, government and residential projects around the world.

Addressing himself chiefly to lighting designers, Brandston uses easy, simple and clear methods to explain lighting, which he also describes as an art. He writes to inspire and to provoke, stressing the need to go beyond mere literacy in the science of lighting.

In the YouTube video below, Brandston discusses his book.
