LʼObservatoire International

The lighting designers LʼObservatoire International have won an Award of Merit at the 2010 Lumen Awards for the lighting design of a luxury residence with a total floor area of 2,880 sq m in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The striking architecture of the building forms the backdrop for a home that is at once futuristic and traditional. The design team, made up of an interior designer from Paris, a Canadian architect and the lighting designers of LʼObservatoire International from New York, worked together successfully from the earliest stages to bring this large project to completion.

The close collaboration between the members of the design team resulted in aesthetic perfection and a flawless design. The lighting designers of LʼObservatoire International say: “It is rare for a lighting designer to work with an architect who values synergy, coordination and cooperation from the very early stages of a project… This remarkable project is a prime example of that kind of successful collaboration.”
