In May, the Athens-based architectural lighting design consultancy Th. Kontorigas and Associates, Specialist Consultants – Architectural Lighting Designers, finalised a collaboration with PK Architectural Lighting Design and Light Vessel International, which are based in Sydney, Australia, and London, United Kingdom, respectively.
The new international team of designers, whose ranks include lighting designers with long experience and international awards (IALD lighting awards), has already taken on the lighting design for one of the largest retail and entertainment centres in the Balkans.
The long-term aim of the collaboration is to organise conferences and training seminars on architectural lighting, to exchange know-how drawn from creative work with light at an international level and, finally, to organise initiatives that raise awareness of the possibilities of architectural lighting among the wider public, especially those living in so-called deprived urban areas.
More information about this international collaboration will be available on the team’s website, which is currently under construction.
