In New York’s SoHo neighbourhood stands the Mondrian Hotel, a distinctive hotel inspired by Jean Cocteau’s film adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast“, brought to life thanks to the innovative vision of Benjamin Noriega Ortiz.
The hotel has an atmosphere that captures the charm and romance of New York City.
From the arched, leafy passage leading to the hotel entrance, you sense that this is a special place. Stepping into the lobby confirms exactly that character. A sophisticated décor, a mix of blue, beige, gold and silver elements, and a variety of materials, including metal objects, wood, velvet and feathers, produce an undeniably striking result.

The rooms of the Mondrian SOHO Hotel are decorated in shades of blue. Their surroundings make you forget you are in the middle of a big city, and are more reminiscent of a relaxing stay on an island or at a spa.
The décor is carefully considered, and small details contribute to a unique, elegant result: from the clever desk to the chandeliers that adorn the bedside tables next to the bed.
Beyond the shades of blue and the vivid blue rug, the style of the furnishings recalls what we call an “all white” décor. The strong natural light and the huge window that lets it flood the room also play an important part in the feel of the space, perfectly complementing its airy, relaxing, bright décor.
