The company Neutral presents a video of the construction process, combined with photorealistic images of the final form of the long-awaited Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall in Hamburg.
The controversial building, designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, has attracted a great deal of both praise and criticism during its construction.
The cost of the project has doubled, while many of the city’s artists and musicians believe that Hamburg’s cultural scene will be “distorted”.

The new concert hall rises above the roof of the restored warehouse Kaispeicher A, designed in 1963 by Werner Kallmorgen, which stands imposingly on a pier on the River Elbe as it flows through the city of Hamburg.
The interior of the old warehouse was stripped out, while its outer shell was kept: the cubic structure and the brick facade.

The design of the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall aims to establish it as a concert hall on a par with the Sydney Opera House, both as a performance venue and as a landmark of the city of Hamburg.
