Decorating Outdoor Spaces with Candles

Simple, inexpensive ideas for turning ordinary candles into a key decorative element on your balcony or in your yard.

Decorating Outdoor Spaces with Candles

One of the simplest and cheapest ways to refresh the atmosphere of your balcony or yard is to decorate it with candles. The glow of a candle flame brings a softer feel to our summer nights.

For anyone who likes to experiment and give their space a more personal touch, the ideas below are sure to be a source of inspiration.

– Use seashells as candle holders and set them on a platter of sand.

– Glass jars become more interesting when you fill them with sand and use them as candle holders.

– Another interesting idea for a tealight holder is to wrap small glass jars in fabric (jam jars, mustard jars and so on).

– You can also use your flowerpots as larger holders for your bigger candles.

– Finally, you can make your own tin lanterns and decorate them with twine and fabric, or create your own patterns on them, as we showed in “Make Your Own Decorative Lanterns“.
