“Every time I come back from abroad, I’m disappointed by the aesthetics of the city I live in.”

In conversations with friends and acquaintances who live in Athens and in other large Greek cities, this sentence seems to ring true for many of those who have had the chance to visit a European city.

Prompted by this, we made a short documentary that tries to bring to the surface the reasons why Athens makes us feel this way. Working with three architects and a film director, we look at how it differs from other large European cities.
