The palette case for the iPad

A handy case for using your iPad with one hand.

The palette case for the iPad

The palette case is one of thousands of cases on the market, but also one of the few that let you hold your iPad in one hand, just as an artist holds a palette.

It was designed by the American designers Nick and Beau and is made from felt or leather. Unlike awkward plastic cases, these materials make the iPad much easier to use for presentations and other applications of that kind.

On the back of the palette case there is a hole where you slip in your fingers to hold the device, along with two additional leather straps. These can be used as handles or, when folded, as a stand that makes typing easier when the iPad is placed on a table.

The project by brothers Nick and Beau is looking for backers to fund mass production, and has already launched a campaign on kickstarter.com.
