If you’re looking for an interesting way to decorate the wall behind your desk, take a look at this lovely idea from the renovation of Cheryl Andrey‘s studio: create a pinboard on the wall from small wooden boards.
The boards were not fitted flush against one another but laid parallel, with a gap left between them. This creates a pleasing contrast with the white wall and makes it look brighter than if the whole wall had been clad in wood.
The boards can also serve as an original pinboard, where you can tack up photographs, postcards and so on.
