Picture Frame Arrangements for Your Walls

A wall is fertile ground for decorative experimentation. Besides choosing a colour for the wall surface, we usually have to pick from a host of options that will set the “stylistic character” not only of the wall, but of the room it defines.

More often than not, a framed picture is one of our first choices for shaping the personality of a room. A newer decorative approach, however, promises to make walls more interesting with a simple idea: creating a more or less eclectic surface of images from arrangements of a large number of frames.

In fact, the frames chosen for an arrangement often refer to our own personality, our favourite habits or hobbies, items that are significant to us, and so on, allowing us to express our taste and interests.

To do this more effectively, we can create “themed” groupings, turning a collection of frames into a “wall mosaic” using:

• Souvenir photographs,
• Portraits of people we love or simply admire,
• Modern or classic works of art,
• Famous buildings or monuments,
• Engravings,
• Dried plants,
• Children’s drawings,
• Maps.
