“Hanging gardens” are a new trend in interior decoration. The idea probably has its roots in the Japanese tradition of KOKEDAMA (also known as string gardens), which are considered the poor man’s bonsai.
This distinctive way of displaying indoor plants, with the plants suspended in mid-air, really captures the imagination and creates a sense of fluidity and freedom in the space.
It can be used for foliage or flowering plants, whether bushy or trailing, adding colour and a sense of multidimensionality to the space.
In any case, this decorative solution, which is well suited to restaurants and commercial spaces, is an original way of bringing elements of nature into interior design and achieving a striking result.
At home, too, kokedama could be a distinctive way of creating an interesting corner, for example behind an armchair, on a wall, in a hallway, and so on.
