On Camilla Fabbri’s blog Family Chic, we came across a practical idea for putting the classic wooden clothespins we use for hanging out the washing to work, and making our own decorative containers.
In a few easy steps, Camilla shows us how to make charming plant pots or candle holders by covering assorted metal tins, whether food cans or milk tins, with wooden clothespins.
As always, it is worth adding your own personal touch to these handmade creations, whether by painting them in your favourite colours with watercolours or by adding decorative elements that you can also make yourself.
Tip: For St. Valentine’s Day in particular, this idea can make a lovely and inexpensive gift. All you need to do is add a heart bearing the message you want to “send” to your other half!
