If you want to add a livelier touch to your balcony or freshen up the look of your old flower pots, why not try covering their surface with fabric?
The materials you will need are:
– pieces of fabric in the patterns and sizes you like
– a pair of scissors
– a can of spray paint in the colour of your choice (especially if the pot is very worn)
– Mod Podge glue (ideal for decoupage)
– a paintbrush
– and, of course, your flower pots

How to do it
– Clean the surface of the pot and place it on a surface covered with newspaper. Spray it with the paint (about 3 coats) and leave it to dry.
– Cut a piece of fabric to the size you need, depending on the area you want to cover.
– Using the brush, spread a layer of Mod Podge over the area of the pot you will be covering with fabric.
– Apply the fabric to the surface and press down carefully so that there are no gaps or air bubbles underneath.
– Let the glue dry, then apply two more coats, allowing the necessary drying time between each one.
Add a few flowers and you can enjoy the beautiful, colourful result you see in the photos below!
Tip! The glue waterproofs the fabric, but it’s still a good idea to be a little more careful when watering your new pots!
