Make your own cotton-swab lamb for Easter decor!

DIY – Easter Decoration

Wanting to do something creative and crafty in the Easter spirit of these days, we went looking and found a lovely idea to try on crafts-for-all-seasons.

With cotton swabs, we can easily make an adorable little lamb to use as a “decoration” for our Easter table.

More specifically, we can prop a small card against it, bearing either a greeting or the name of each guest, so they know where their seat is at our table.

We will need a little cardboard, which will serve as the base and the template for the basic shape of our creation, and cotton swabs, which we cut close to the point where the cotton begins.

For the head, we add two little ears made from swabs placed opposite each other, and three more swabs, cut shorter, which will be the lamb’s fleece. We finish the preparation by drawing the face on the head.

With a little patience and plenty of glue, we lay the swabs in layers, starting from the back of the body and continuing as shown in the photographs. Finally, we glue on the head, which we have decked out with a small bow to make our lamb even cuter!

Two wooden clothespins glued to the back will serve as the legs. Make sure they are positioned correctly before the glue dries completely, so that the lamb stands upright and balanced.

A clever idea is to attach the clothespins upside down, so that the lamb can be propped on top of another Easter arrangement. We can also make the little legs from cardboard and glue the lamb onto a green paper bag as an ornament, to present an Easter gift to our loved ones!
