Bright and lively, the result of this DIY project can decorate a child’s room at minimal cost!
It’s also a lovely excuse for a creative afternoon with your kids.

What you’ll need:
• 2 boxes of 24 crayons
• A canvas in the size you want
• A glue gun and glue sticks
• A hair dryer
How to make it:
Arrange the crayons in the color order you like along the top of the canvas.

• Glue the crayons to the canvas with the glue gun. Lay down 2 lines of glue and stick the crayons on one by one, working quickly so the glue doesn’t dry. It’s important that a good part of each crayon is free of its paper wrapper.

When you’re done, it should look something like this.

• Find a spot in direct sunlight and place the canvas there so the sun’s rays melt the crayons. Alternatively, and probably preferably, simply stand the canvas upright and melt the crayons yourself with the hot air from the hair dryer.

• Tilt the canvas at an angle so that, as the crayons start to melt, they drip down over it. Since you won’t be able to avoid making a mess around you, it’s a good idea to put down a few newspapers.

After a little while, your new artwork is ready!

All that’s left is to put it in a frame and hang it on the wall.
PS. Did you know that creations like this are sold on Etsy?
Tip!
It would be interesting to make 2-3 different “crayon artworks” in different shades and combine them into a single arrangement on the wall of the child’s room!
