In the summer months, when we no longer gather around it to enjoy the comfort and warmth of a fire, the fireplace stops being the “focal point” of the room.
Even though we don’t use it, though, it still holds a prominent place in our living room. It is worth taking a little time to decorate it in ways that not only draw attention away from the empty (and often blackened) hearth, but also bring a breath of summer freshness to our décor.
What can you do? Here are a few ideas and solutions!
Decorate it with candles, vases and more…

Dress up a few logs

Place plants and flowers inside it… and around it too!

Fill it with books

Hide it behind small pieces of furniture
