If you jumped to the conclusion that the only way to use a trunk in your home décor is as a coffee table, think again!
Our much-loved trunks can rightfully claim a place in the utility areas of the home too, such as the hallway or the corridor, where their presence alone adds a distinctive style.
What can you do with a trunk in the hallway? How you use it will, of course, depend partly on its size.
Here are a few ideas:
Make it part of an original storage arrangement, combined with a series of shelves.
Use it as a low side table for displaying decorative objects, books, magazines and so on.
Turn it into a distinctive sideboard by placing a mirror, a painting or the like above it.
