Danish Style in a New York Apartment

This distinctive apartment with a New York “feel” offers an interesting combination of industrial style and contemporary Danish design.

The white walls and doors, the high ceiling and the light-coloured furniture give the space an airy, minimal feel.

The kitchen is white, with stainless steel details and an industrial look, created mainly by the extractor hood flue above the island.

In the living room, an ice-grey fabric sofa is paired with comfortable leather armchairs in a play of colour contrasts. The arrangement suggests that, for the owner, the sitting area is a place for gathering and conversation.

A designer armchair has also been chosen for the space, giving it a modern accent and creating an additional relaxation corner around the built-in fireplace. The second room is something between a dining room, a sitting room and a workspace.

The walls are not at all “overloaded”. Keeping to a restrained look with few decorative elements, the apartment remains carefully considered down to the last detail. From the white throws that “warm up” the armchairs, to the modern “sculptural” figurine on the table, to the rug with its strong personality, and the pieces that adorn the entrance hall, the apartment exudes a sense of elegance.
