The mood of a space is strongly influenced by the colours and patterns of the objects in it. Bold colours in various combinations create a lively, cheerful feeling, much like the one we get when we visit a colourful children’s playground.
Influenced by this effect – and as decorating with stripes has become a firm favourite in interior decoration – a number of designers are choosing to create objects in bright colours and a variety of patterns, among which parallel stripes combining many vivid shades often take centre stage.
Applied in both modern and classic design, colourful stripes have become a point of reference for the creations of designers past and present.
