To be chic is to look elegant and refined.
A small loft in Paris achieves exactly that within just 60 square metres.
Two elements dominate the apartment: white and wood. The simple decor built around these two elements creates a minimal, understated style that makes a strong impression.
The loft is on the third floor of a building, and its small footprint made it necessary to use various tricks in the layout and decor so that it would look larger and make functional use of all its spaces, while keeping a sense of freedom of movement within them.
The main trick is the use of white. Sliding doors play an equally important part in the same direction, joining the living room to the bedroom and the bathroom to the open-plan living room and kitchen.
Instead of a dining table, there is a kitchen island with a few industrial-style stools.

Even in the bathroom, the chic Parisian style, with its gilded mirror and elegant accessories, stands out in its simplicity.

The only “busy” feature of the apartment, you could say, is the large wall-mounted bookcase behind the sofa. It is both functional, as storage for books, and decorative, with small, carefully chosen objects adorning its shelves.

In general, the furnishing is fairly spare, using as little furniture and as few decorative items as possible. In the bedroom there is a low bed and not even a bedside table or any other auxiliary piece, apart from a red armchair that stands out strikingly against the absolute white of the room.
Decorative items on the walls have been kept to a minimum. Above the bed hangs a large black-and-white painting, while in the living room the main painting simply rests on the floor.

White curtains let light flood the space and help the white to create a feeling of spaciousness. The shabby chic wooden doors, the floor and the wooden kitchen island, on the other hand, bring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
