Branch Coat Rack

Make your own wall-mounted coat rack from a tree branch.

Branch Coat Rack

We have previously published many great ideas for putting tree branches to use, from making a floor lamp or a clothes rail for a shop to a curtain rod, or even decorating your space.

On shopterrain.com we came across the tamarind wall branch, a product that we could easily make ourselves instead of paying $168 for it. All it takes is a willingness to look for the ideal branch on our next trip into the countryside.

This particular rack is made of tamarind wood, is 1.5 m long and has been hand-sanded. If you are lucky, in coastal areas or near rivers, you will certainly find branches that are ready to use, as nature itself will have done the work for you!

To mount your “natural rack” on the wall, all you need is two hooks and wall plugs, sized to suit the branch. If you don’t like the natural color, which also gives a Scandinavian look, you can paint it in a color of your choice.
