With the arrival of autumn, the weather changes and nature is transformed. So does our mood, as we leave behind the feel of summer and everything that reminds us of it.
The shift from summer to autumn is the perfect excuse to refresh and change things up at home. With a few new accessories and some small decorative touches, we can bring a breath of autumn into our home and get it ready for winter.
So clear away the last remnants of your summer decor and focus on the spots in your home where you can play with autumn decorating tricks, without spending a thing.
The entrance, your kitchen or dining table, the sideboard, the fireplace that is still unlit: all of these are spots you can put to use, creating a seasonal atmosphere in your home with just a few small changes.
Your allies in this decorating project:
leaves, seasonal fruit, pomegranates, nuts, acorns, chestnuts, walnuts, pine cones, ears of wheat and branches, and anything else that inspires you and reminds you of… autumn!
Where you can use them:
• Make use of large glass bowls (remember our related article here) and decorate them with your autumn decor.

Dress up your candlesticks and create lovely autumn arrangements with trays and candles.

Put the large vases you have at home to work, filling them with branches and “natural” ornaments.

Use the fireplace space, dressing it in autumn shades.

Bring elements of autumn to your table.

Decorate corners of your home, doors and walls with “autumn bouquets”.
