The Anthropologie store chain has spent the last 15 years in women’s clothing, jewellery and accessories, as well as home furnishings. Its guiding principle is innovation, skill and carefully considered design.
This commitment to its principles extends beyond the products to the design of each store’s interior and window displays, which have now become the chain’s trademark. Each Anthropologie store has a small team of designers and artists who work exclusively on the window display. Graphic designers, painters and sculptors collaborate harmoniously to create a unique visual result that serves as the backdrop for presenting the products.
For the summer season, the Anthropologie design teams chose “large-scale, woven, wooden sculptures” as their central theme, and after 6 weeks of preparation the windows were unveiled to the public once again, presenting a distinctive and original setting.
The result is unique! Thin strips of wood, either dyed or in their natural colour, slender reeds and multicoloured threads have been woven using traditional techniques.

The sculptures’ idiosyncratic, organic forms are strikingly impressive, full of imagination and able to draw the eyes of passers-by. The quality and careful design of Anthropologie products are shown off to superb effect by an equally carefully designed decorative setting.
