Decorative pillows can add colour and style to your sofa, your armchair, or even your bed. Large floor cushions can also be an easy way to provide extra seating in a room.
They bring a cosy, snug feel and are valuable decorative accessories that let us experiment and change up the look of a space.
That is why the idea of covering them with fabric, without having to buy new pillowcases or sew covers, is so appealing!
So here is a clever method that is quick to do and gives impressive results: you can dress your old pillows in fabric you already have, with no sewing at all!
What you will need
• A pillow in the size you want (x = width and y = height)
• A piece of fabric measuring 3*x by 2*y
How to make it:
1. Lay the fabric right side down and place the pillow in the centre of it.

2. Fold the excess fabric at the bottom up over the pillow, then do the same with the excess at the top.

3. Gather the loose ends of the fabric on the left and right, as shown in the photo below:

4. Bring the pieces of fabric over the surface of the pillow one after the other, as though they were hugging it.

5. Tie the ends together in a simple knot.

You’re done!
