A Minimal, Cozy Apartment in Poland

Budget-friendly solutions in a minimalist style for the interior of an apartment designed to host visitors to the Poznan International Fair.

A Minimal, Cozy Apartment in Poland

The Polish architecture studio mode:lina was commissioned to design the interior of an apartment in the city of Poznan, Poland, which was to host a number of visitors to the Poznan International Fair.

The style of the space is modern and understated, yet it creates a warm and welcoming environment. The challenge in decorating it was that the apartment had to be designed on the one hand as a permanent residence, and on the other to offer the comforts of a luxury hotel.

It also had to be furnished with inexpensive furniture and accessories, which is why IKEA furniture was chosen.

White dominates the walls. Apart from the living room, no paintings were used to decorate them. Instead, the mode:lina team chose to run inspirational messages along the walls in the form of decals.

The furniture layouts in the bedrooms are also of interest, as is the creative design of the guests’ storage space, which avoids traditional wardrobes altogether.

Bold colors on the small furnishings and the bed covers create dramatic contrasts with the clean, white, minimalist backdrop of the apartment.
