A grand period apartment in Kolonaki has been converted to showcase fresh herbs and organic products, while also offering advice on how to eat more healthily in our everyday lives.

In a fairytale setting, the “priestess of the space”, Ms Triantou, welcomed us with a hot drink made from dittany and jasmine blossoms, while fresh oat and cinnamon biscuits awaited us on the large monastery table. It is an Art Nouveau scene, completed by a candlestick at the centre of the table and surrounded by wrought-iron chairs.

As I sipped my drink and enjoyed the intoxicating scents of the herbs and essential oils drifting through the air, I noticed a unique handmade “sculpture-picture” made from pieces of fabric by the designer Charis Hourmouzis of the fashion house Charis – Angelos. The “sculpture” depicts “Kalomoira”, meaning “good fortune”. It is an offering of the designer’s soul, evolving through various stages as it moves towards completion.

On the other side of the room, my eye was drawn to the “workshop”, which houses transparent jars of herb “varieties” glowing with light that seems to emanate from within the wall.

On the balcony of Chloris, a row of plants has been arranged and discreetly lit with beams of light, creating a lovely scene that carries the magic of the interior out into its surroundings.

The whole space, “dressed in white“, takes on different forms through a control panel, depending on the lighting we choose from the combined installation of a veroca luminaire and custom-made spots.

Chloris has now chosen to live there. In this “natural environment” with its unique atmosphere in the centre of Athens, she will listen to your needs and prepare your own personal drink. She will talk to you about a healthier everyday life, bringing herbs into your life, your kitchen and your bathroom.

The décor and layout of Chloris are by Ms Triantou, and the lighting design is by Dimitris Nasikas.
