Ruslan Sergeev was born in Russia in 1954 and graduated in 1981 from the industrial design department in Minsk.
In 1992 he moved to Israel, where he began working with some of the country’s leading architects, while also taking part in programmes run by the Ministry of Housing, the Ministry of Tourism and other public bodies.
Since 1996 he has run an art studio in Jerusalem, creating relief landscape images and unique art objects, from small sculptures to large-scale works of environmental significance.

Today, more than 50 of his sculptures adorn Israeli cities.
The studio of Ruslan and his collaborator Sarni lies in the countryside, in the grounds of a former hotel, with views over the desert and the Dead Sea!
There, in a small room, Ruslan keeps all his designs, both old and future.
Ruslan and his collaborator aspire to beautify Jerusalem with their work. At times, however, they run into obstacles from the local authorities, who are not always ready to accept more innovative proposals.
One example is the fountain in Kiryat, where the authorities did not agree to its decoration with a striking combination of mosaics.

From the start of his career to the present day, Ruslan has taken part in dozens of exhibitions around the world. His large-scale sculptures now number more than 60, and he has won 4 awards!
