“Off The Map” by Leslie DeRose

Leslie DeRose has turned her artistic background and her passion for nostalgic imagery into a series of works she calls “Off the Map”.

A former art teacher and now a full-time mother, she always finds the time and inspiration to put her love of vintage on canvas and to run her own little shop on Etsy.com, while also taking part in various exhibitions across America from time to time.

“Off the Map” is a series of works with vivid colours and a pervasive sense of nostalgia.

Thematically, a large part of Leslie’s work has to do with maps, from which she draws inspiration for their colours, their text and their design.

Above all, though, it revolves around bicycles, with colourful depictions of bikes and of the landscapes you might come across on a carefree ride.
