British artist Sarah Turner literally “sheds light” on the hidden side of plastic soft drink bottles.
Combining ecological awareness with creativity, she collects discarded bottles from local shops and households, treats them by sandblasting, and turns them into beautiful, intricate lamps.
By giving a new life to objects that have supposedly served their purpose, Sarah also contributes to the recycling of plastic bottles in her country, which is already low.
Since 2009 she has taken part in exhibitions in Europe and America, and her work has been recognised in several competitions.
She designs and makes all the lamps herself, and is open to new ideas and commissions.
Her work has recently become available to buy online through her website.
