design district paid a visit to Design Lab, the contemporary workshop of applied creativity held at “Technopolis” of the City of Athens on 6, 7 and 8 May 2011.
As part of the ambitious Design Festival organised at Design Lab, a distinctive design “village” was set up, with “neighbourhoods” that each represented one aspect of contemporary design (Product Design, Industrial Design, Food Design, Fashion Design and more).
We visited the Design Museum, a pioneering project by Greek standards, which was created in the outdoor area of “Technopolis”.
The company Indeco provided the event with 10 busts (white polyester on a metal base), which the artists taking part in the Design Museum decorated and worked on using whatever materials they wished, so as to express their imagination and creativity.
In the video you can get a “taste” of what happened at Design Lab 2011, but above all you can meet, through a series of interviews, some of the artists who took part in the event “Become the creator”.
