Whirligro is an original idea from Scotland for growing plants, flowers and herbs, aimed at people who don’t have much space at their disposal. It can be used in gardens, on balconies, on rooftops or anywhere else.
In practice, the plants grow in soil or compost inside durable tubes that can “host” up to 30 plants in an area of less than one square metre. With Whirligro’s original design, the plants are held in the air in a rotating arrangement around a central column.
The plants grow through holes in the plastic tubes, which brings some extra advantages: a) there is no need for weeding, and b) insects and pests can’t easily harm the plants, since they are not close to the ground. Watering is done by hand, through an irrigation system.

Whirligro is effective for growing plants, can last for years, is easy to move, and has a distinctive look.
Its price ranges from 55 to 140 British pounds, depending on size, excluding shipping costs.
