Alcoa Architectural Products has created a distinctive eco-friendly panel for the exterior of buildings. Reynobond® is a self-cleaning surface, but it also acts as a “filter” for the air around it.
As a photocatalyst, the titanium dioxide coating interacts with sunlight to break down organic matter on and around the panel. The organic matter is drawn to its surface and is “slid” down to the ground by rainwater.
The result is lower maintenance costs for building owners and a façade that stays clean over time.
