Concrete-Inspired Design for the Living and Dining Areas

An industrial look & feel with concrete elements in the living and dining areas

Concrete-Inspired Design for the Living and Dining Areas

In an earlier article we saw how the industrial feel of concrete is gaining ground in the “workshop” of the home: the kitchen. This time, our attention has been caught by a series of interesting applications that use its hard, industrial aesthetic to create a distinctive character in the living room and dining area.

Concrete lends a “cooler” character, but combined with other materials such as wood, it can produce a beautiful result.

It can also be used in a more targeted way, applied to selected walls and features such as the fireplace, a staircase, a column and so on.

The most devoted fans of the industrial style, however, often go further, with more extensive applications that create a fully industrial environment.

Tip!

If you like the “concrete” look & feel, you can achieve it without major interventions by using the “concrete-style” wallpapers available on the market!
