The Glowing Web…

British designers Mark Francis Tynan, William Hailang Chen and Shireen Hamdan of ResoNet have unveiled an unusual work that depicts a glowing spider’s web.

The structure was created for an event in Cumbria, under the auspices of Arts Council England.

The piece measures 10 x 12 m and uses 360 LEDs, which light up when special sensors installed in it detect movement in the web.

The installation is powered by a 12-volt battery, which is charged using solar energy.
