On the occasion of a comparative test of GU10 LED lamps carried out by flashlight.gr, which will be published shortly, our online magazine presents an interview with Mr. Frangiskos V. Topalis about the activities, expertise and technology of the only lighting laboratory in Greece.
The Lighting Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) began operating around 1955, as part of the activities of the High Voltage and Electrical Measurements Laboratory. It subsequently developed into an independent laboratory unit with distinct activities in the fields of lighting and photometry.
The laboratory’s equipment serves its three main activities: hands-on laboratory training for students, scientific research, and photometric measurements of lighting equipment produced by Greek manufacturers.
