LED Applications in Retail (Part 2)

Case study: LED technology in the Lissac opticians' stores in Paris, by Tridonic Atco.

LED Applications in Retail (Part 2)

This time, Flashlight.gr looks at a customised LED lighting application in the traditional Lissac opticians’ stores in Paris.

Lissac stores have specialised in processing optical lenses for more than 100 years. The Lissac optical chain has always been committed to technology, not only in the production of its lenses, but also in using the latest advances to present its finished products. For this reason, Lissac has entrusted the lighting technology for its products to TridonicAtco and Secante.

A pioneer with a vision

Georges Lissac considers his company’s culture of innovation to be one of its greatest strengths. The Lissac chain uses only the best and most advanced technologies to display its high-quality eyewear and show it off in the right light. TridonicAtco and Secante contributed to this aim by providing ideal lighting that does not distract customers from the products themselves.

A few words on how the project was carried out

Red and grey boxes lit with LEDs were created for 50 selected stores in the Lissac chain to form striking product displays. The eyewear is placed on top of the boxes and lit around the perimeter from all sides. P511 Red 8V with Red Dual Satin from Atoglas was used to create the red section. The darker section of the grey boxes was lit with P 511 W DL with Grey Dual Satin. The lighting system is connected to approved K220 converters (8 and 12V) from TridonicAtco.
