Gallery Lighting Project

Lighting for the paintings in the gallery of collector Mr. Emfietzoglou.

Gallery Lighting Project

IFI GROUP recently completed a notable project, for which it was also responsible for the design: the lighting of Mr. Emfietzoglou’s painting collection.

The paintings are housed in two separate halls, each of 900 square metres.

In the upper hall, which has a ceiling height of 6 metres, LOOK spotlights with G8.5 60W lamps and SIGNAL spotlights with 50W lamps have been installed on a TRADDEL DALI track. The spotlights are controlled via an INSTABUS system from the Australian company CLIPSAL. The control information for the luminaires (on/off) reaches them through the track, which supports the DALI (digital addressable lighting interface) protocol, whose capabilities were used in this case. DALI makes it possible to control each spotlight individually, even though the track has only a single power supply.

On the lower floor, SPIDER spotlights (blade-type) with 50W lamps from mizar have been installed, with the aim of lighting the paintings precisely.
