You may remember Goncalo Campos from the fur notice board we featured a few months ago. The “Under Table” is another distinctive piece of furniture by the Portuguese designer, in which the base of the table is a sculptural arrangement of figures depicting “what can happen under a table”.

Besides making the table more stable, the sculpted base turns it into a work of art, recalling a children’s game setting in which the world beneath the table easily becomes a space of its own, an imaginary world of discovery. You can spot a child playing, hiding or looking for something, or even forgotten objects such as a woman’s shoe.
