The Spanish designer Jaime Hayon teamed up with Fritz Hansen to redesign the classic armchair, creating the “Ro“. The “Ro” is a curved, elegant armchair that offers the relaxation we need after the tiredness and bustle of the day.
The only requirement of the brief was “to create a comfortable seat for one person”, but Hayon went a step further and designed the Ro as a 1½-seater armchair, giving whoever uses it plenty of space and comfort.
In Danish, the word “Ro” means “calm“, and with just two letters it sums up both the armchair and Scandinavian design. Its sculpted form gently envelops the body while also creating a sense of privacy.
The “Ro” will be available in nine colours: three traditional (black, grey and taupe), three bright (violet, blue and yellow), and three pastel (light pink, sage green and sand).
