The REK is a smart, functional and versatile coffee table that can be adapted to suit your needs at any moment.
Designed by architect and designer Reinier de Jong, the REK transforms with a few simple movements from a single piece of wooden furniture into multiple configurations.
Explaining his inspiration for the design, the use of materials and the functionality of this modern coffee table, Reinier de Jong says:
“The REK is a table that grows with your needs. When you have guests, you can extend it however you like. That way you can create ample space for your coffee mugs, or store books and other small items on the shelf and in the spaces formed beneath the tops of the folding surfaces.”
When closed, the REK measures 60x80cm; when opened out, it reaches a maximum length of 170cm and a maximum width of 130cm. It is priced at €1,500 and can be ordered from Reinier de Jong‘s website.
