It is with great pleasure and pride that design district presents the young designers who took part in the new designers section of the go design exhibition, held from 12 to 14 March 2011.
Through a series of interviews, you will have the chance to get to know both the designers themselves and their pioneering ideas, which give “hope” for the future of “Greek design”.
Our presentations begin with Marilena Skaraki, the young designer who talks to us about the modern take on the rocking armchair that she designed and created with her team, describing the “journey” from the conception of the idea to its realisation.
Next, Semina Vagiakou and Sofia Arkoudaki present the two-dimensional coat stand they designed, a clever, decorative and functional proposal for the needs of the contemporary home. It is worth mentioning that the coat stand won 3rd place at the ID Awards in 2009.
