The ceramic objects of Dutch designer Lenneke Wispelwey stand out for their playful style and their “sweet” colours and forms.
Lenneke Wispelwey graduated in 2008 from the art school The Arnhem Institute for the Arts in the Netherlands, with a degree in product design.
Her graduation presentation, a porcelain collection titled De Zoete Inval, won favourable reviews and considerable recognition in the design world.
This encouraged her to open her own studio the same year in the Dutch city of Arnhem.

In her own words, “I want my work to make people smile.” She achieves this through the “fun” presentation and form of the objects she creates.
Her acclaimed collection The Sweet Surprise includes porcelain tableware and vases in sweet pastel shades with bold touches of gold.
The playful style of these elaborate objects is combined with elegant design and excellent craftsmanship.

Her latest collection, Lost In Happiness, was presented at Dutch Design Week, held in Eindhoven in the Netherlands from 23 to 31 October.
