The iTree is a sophisticated, high-quality iPod and iPhone docking station that KMKG STUDIO has built, in a highly original way, into a tree trunk. The design is fairly simple, but the result is striking, especially for lovers of natural-style décor.
The technique used to hollow out the log gives the iTree the best possible sound quality.
Every iTree is unique. Clients of KMKG STUDIO choose the wood, the length and the technology built into it. The iTree is then handmade in the “Steirische Vulkanland” region of southern Austria by the carpenters of “Tischlerei Lenz“. There are three types of iTree – cherry, poplar and fir – although any type of wood can be used.

The iTree is compatible with all iPhones and iPods. There is also a version of the iTree with wireless streaming technology from ARCAM. It can also be used with Apple AirTunes and the iPad.
For the speakers, KMKG has partnered with LENZ, one of the best speaker manufacturers in Austria.
The designers at KMKG believe that good design rests on experience, is a personal matter, has a homeland, and involves as little design as possible. This is the philosophy they applied in creating the iTree.
