British designer Erica Wakerly made her name in 2006 at 100% Design London, where she presented her first wallpaper collection, Collection 01, and won the 100% Blueprint Best Newcomer award.
In recent years, Erica Wakerly‘s wallpapers and fabrics have gained international recognition. Her first collection, Collection 01, also earned her the Young Designer 2007 title at the Homes and Gardens Classic Design Awards.

Since establishing herself in the design world in 2006, she has stood out for the distinctive graphic style of her designs: elegant linear patterns depicting organic or geometric forms, rendered either realistically or in line drawing.

Erica Wakerly‘s distinctive approach to design reflects the influence of her early studies in illustration and graphic design.
After earning a degree in illustration from the University of Brighton, she completed her postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Art in London in 2005, graduating with an MA in Printed Textiles, specialising in interior surface design.
At this year’s 100% Design London, she impressed once again with the debut of her new collection, Collection 03. The collection combines metallic colours, finely worked florals and elegant geometric elements with soft silver and gold stripes.

Among the standout designs is the collection’s wallpaper Screwed Up, which has already been shortlisted for the Elle Decoration Awards Best Pattern 2010.
