How often have you felt your home needed a change, only to be put off by the thought of the alterations, building work and fixing-up it would involve?
The idea behind “Edera” answers exactly that need. It is a modular decorative system designed by the Italian designer Loris De Grandi and produced by the company Formabilio.
It consists of diamond-shaped elements that can be arranged in any configuration you like and used in many ways … from a soft rug to a headboard for the bedroom or the sofa. Each Edera element is made up of two isosceles triangles in felt with soft padding, with bold stitching and a non-slip base.
When the elements are used as a rug, the triangles are held firmly together with Velcro strips (or, as we casually call them, “scratch-scratch”). For compositions intended for the wall, the connection is made with suitable snap fasteners/springs.
What makes Edera special is the freedom of composition it offers, which can produce a very distinctive result and can be changed at any moment. The combinations and applications are endless, in terms of both shapes and colours.

Edera can even be used as a room divider.
